StoryCatchers: Preserving the voices of Northern Colorado, interview with Rod Adams (urban farmer)

There are many extraordinary people in our community who have survived enormous challenges, performed heroic deeds, or contributed to society. StoryCatchers, a program at Front Range Community College (FRCC) in Fort Collins, Colorado helps students capture those voices, celebrate their stories, and inform the community about the great people around us. In November 2016, FRCC students (Adam Hundley, Jake Horner, Courtney McCann, and Grace Neher) recorded the following interview with Rod Adams of Sunspot Urban Farm. To celebrate the interview, students created a song, a dessert, and a flower arrangement. This interview will eventually be archived at the Fort Collins Discovery Museum.

On September 12, 2015 Sunspot Urban Farm was one of six featured homesteads in Fort Collins and Loveland. This annual educational event is an important fund raiser for Loveland Youth Gardeners and the Gardens on Spring Creek. It is a delightful way to experience sustainable ways of living in an urban setting. Watch for this event in 2016 and participate! Click here to watch a recently-released video of the 2015 event.
